How to reach the Alpinhotel Jesacherhof
The Alpinhotel Jesacherhof is located in Defereggental, in the tranquil village of St. Jakob in Defereggental, right next to the Brunnalm lifts. Our local mountain, the Hochgall, rises majestically into the sky. Both in summer and winter, the mountains offer fantastic adventures. Hiking trails, cross-country skiing tracks, and more start right outside the hotel door – here, you are in the middle of nature.
To the north of the Jesacherhof, the expansive Hohe Tauern National Park unfolds, showcasing its breathtaking glacier fields, lush green meadows, and dense forests, which are home to creatures like ibexes, marmots, golden eagles, bearded vultures, chamois, and the tiny winter goldcrest. To the south lie the rugged rock massifs of the Lienz Dolomites – a true paradise for action lovers, with countless opportunities for hiking, biking, climbing, and skiing. And just over the border in South Tyrol, another popular excursion destination awaits you: Lake Anterselva/Antholz.

Coming from the east:
From the B108 (Felbertauern Straße), take the exit towards Defereggental in Huben. Follow the road. Before Mayrhof, turn left and cross the Schwarzach river. The hotel is located next to the Brunnalm lifts.
Coming from the west:
Drive through Pustertal, past Bruneck, and take the exit for Rasen-Antholz. At the roundabout, turn left and then follow the winding roads up the Stalle/Staller Sattel pass, crossing over into Austria. Follow the Deferegger Landstraße road through St. Jakob and turn right at Mayrhof. The hotel is right next to the Brunnalm lifts.
Please note that the Stalle/Staller Sattel pass is closed from the end of October to mid-May. If travelling during this time, instead of taking the Rasen-Antholz exit, follow the SS49 to Lienz. Turn onto the B108 (Felbertauern Straße) and approach the Jesacherhof from the east.
